Individuals

Why are we implementing a unified timekeeping system across campus?

There are currently multiple methods of timekeeping used throughout UNM. It is expected that moving to a single timekeeping system will create efficiencies across departments to reduce the administrative burden of tracking time.

I am non-exempt, what methods will I use to clock-in?

The implementation of the unified timekeeping system is expected to be completed around October 1, 2025. Once the system is live, you will be able to timestamp using departmental time clocks, your computer, or your mobile device. Details and training will be provided prior to going live.

I am exempt, will I use the new timekeeping system?

Exempt employees will use the new timekeeping system for reporting leave.

I often work in rural areas, what if I don’t have internet connection to allow me to timestamp?

You will have the option to use your mobile device for timestamping if you have cellular access. Guidance will be provided closer to go live date for processes when you ar enot able to timestamp using one of the methods available.

Will I receive training on how to use the new timekeeping system?

Yes. Training will be provided closer to go live date.

Departments

My department currently uses LoboTime, how will the new timekeeping system impact my budget?

The new timekeeping system will be centrally funded and will not impact your budget.

My department currently uses paper timesheets and Banner Time Entry, will the transition to a new timekeeping system impact my budget? Will my department need to have timeclocks installed? How I this transition funded?

What kind of training will be available to supervisors?

The training plan will be communicated once we are closer to go live.

Will this eliminate the requirement to use Banner Time Entry?

Yes. The goal is for all time to be calculated within the new system and exported to Banner, eliminating the need for Banner Time Entry.
